Create Open Caption subtitles in a Teletext file
This can sometimes be useful when preparing subtitles for output to a variety of different media. Note that the normal restrictions on subtitle timecodes apply so it is not possible to have an Open Caption subtitle and a Teletext subtitle on screen at the same time.
The Enable Open Caption subtitles option must be enabled in the file personality dialog.
To make the active subtitle Open Caption, press the Ctrl T key.
Press the Ctrl T key again to return the Open Caption subtitle to Teletext format.
The default font and background style of the Open Caption subtitles can be configured in the normal way. Note that you cannot override the font size or style of individual subtitles in this case.
Safe Area settings can also be configured for Open Caption subtitles.
